We had such a great stay at Jilly Park Farmstay. The place is beautiful and perfect for families, but the real highlight was Jillian.Our 4 kids (aged 6–12) absolutely adored her. She’s amazing with kids and such a natural teacher—so patient, fun, and engaging. They learned loads about the animals and farm life without even realising they were “learning,” and they’re still talking about her.Jillian made everyone feel welcome and included, and you can tell how much heart she’s put into the place. We stayed at Jill’s & Brontes from the 1st until the 4th . They were both warm and welcoming on Check-in .The house is very open and comfortable & Homely .The property is beautiful with acres of rolling fields and beautiful animals .We took our two daughters to the Farm-stay , 9yo & 11yo .In the morning and late afternoon Jill and Brontë were encouraging for our daughters to head out onto the farm and teach them safely about different tasks around the farm .The girls feed the chickens and collected eggs.Looked after the sheep/goat/horses/lamas/alpacas. It was our second time at Jill’s farm and we enjoyed it even more than the first time. If you have kids then this is the farm stay for them. Jill’s try her best to not only smooth the interaction of the kids with animals but also provide information for kids and adults about the animals. It was a wonderful experience staying with Jillian. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beautiful animals on her farm. We were all very entertained by funny stories and quirky personalities of her animals, and she keeps the kids on their toes with quizzes of animal facts. I have learnt so much about animals from her. Her house was clean, comfortable with a beautiful scenery. We could tell she has put a lot of hard work into upkeeping the place. Wow! Jilly Place was outstanding! Jillian was such an amazing host. Our 3 young kids loved helping out around the farm and Jillian was so patient, kind and informative about farm life and all of her beautiful animals. The kids loved feeding the sheep, horses, cows and alpacas. They also loved collecting the eggs from the chickens, putting them to bed at night and holding the newly hatched chicks. It was so handy that breakfast was included and there was variety that suited everybody. The house was filled with lovely farm inspired decor and had a luxury farm style feel. Jillian was not only a wealth of knowledge when it came to farm life but also about the local area. She gave lots of great suggestions for places for us to visit during the day and places to eat. We returned for a second stay, this time bringing grandparents as well as our toddler and newborn. A perfect stay for group with kids or family, plenty of space. We love getting involved with the animals and farm chores and the fresh eggs. The property is peaceful and full of places to explore. This is by far the best farmstay that we have been to with our kids. Jillian is very generous with her time and patient with the kids - the kids were able to experience caring for lots of different farm animals. The accommodation is very comfortable, practical and spacious. Everyone was able to relax. This is our second visit and we plan to visit annually. Jillian is an incredible host who created a truly perfect farm stay experience for our family. My daughter was thrilled with all the hands-on opportunities, from the morning routine of collecting fresh eggs to the fun tractor ride and getting to bottle-feed the lambs. Beyond the animals, the house itself was a cozy haven. The warm, inviting wooden fireplace made for a perfect setting to relax and unwind, even on a chilly winter day.
